What made you choose a career in nursing?
I became a CNA when I was 16 and still in High School. When I was a child, I used to visit the patients in the State Convelescent home - I'd ride my bike and spend hours visiting and talking with them. Then, when I was a young woman, I herniated a disc in my back, and was hospitalized. That experience made me realize that I could do a better job, and motivated me to go back to school to get my BSN/RN.
What motivates you at the start of each day?
Knowing that I can help people and make a difference in their lives by giving them help, hope, caring, and comfort.
