What made you choose a career in nursing?
Let me tell you a special story..... About 1989, I fell and broke my ankle which prompted me to change my college aspirations from Art Education to Medical Laboratory Technology. Using this very technical knowledge, circumstances happened that I was instrumental in having my father diagnosis of terminal lung cancer diagnosed so early that he lived 3 1/2 years instead of 6 weeks. Loved the work but felt I needed more people contact so... I became a registered nurse. Love being a nurse and this has made me passionate about patient's rights.
