    Description of Practice :

    Practice includes all aspects of respiratory care specializing in management of pre/post operative ventilated patients including coronary bypass as well as heart, lung, liver, kidney and pancreas transplants. Also experienced in treatment of the critically ill newborn focusing on advanced ventilation interventions. Performs and assists in bedside diagnostics and therapeutics such as bronchoscopy, chest tube insertion and thoracentesis. Intubation, obtaining and analyzing artierial blood gas results, preliminary reading of chest xrays, general blood chemistries and other tehnologically advanced diagnostic tools to effectively manage the critically ill patient are expected and required. 

    Other areas of specility encompass care of long term ventilator dependent population. Education and development of programs for the care of long term, chronically ill respiratory patients, their family and caretakers. Trained in treatment of patients receiving hyberbaric oxygen therapy. Currently hold BLS, ACLS, NPR, PALS certifications
