Dr. Maher's practice can be divided into three major treatment categories: neuromusculoskeletal disorders, fertility, and nausea associated with chemotherapy.
The neuromusculoskeletal disorders he has successfully treated include: headaches, including migraines; trigeminal neuralgia; intercostal neuralgia; postherpetic (shingles) neuralgia; Bell's palsy; peripheral neuropathy (including diabetic peripheral neuropathy); Meniere's Disease; cervicobrachial syndrome; frozen shoulder; tennis and golfer's elbow; low back pain; sciatica; neck pain; carpal tunnel syndrome; osteoarthritis affecting the ankle, knee, hip, wrist, elbow, shoulder; Morton's neuroma; plus many, many others.
Dr. Maher, in concert with the superior reproductive endrocrinological treatment provided by the fertility experts at the University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center, has assisted many couples with their fertility difficulties. Both male and female infertility respond very favorably to the techniques he uses.
Dr. Maher also utilizes acupuncture to assist those undergoing chemotherapy. Acupuncture has been shown in several clinical trials to be very effective in addressing the nausea and vomiting associated with chemotherapy and maintaining a healthy body weight improves the clinical outcomes of chemotherapy.
