Currently, I am practicing full time as a Family Nurse Practitioner with MinuteClinic Diagnostic of North Carolina, P.C. ("MinuteClinic"). In addition to my newly acquired Nurse Practitioner skills, I have 11 years of experience in nursing. My career has provided me with skills in a variety of area within nursing such as cardiology, gastroenterology and emergency care. These experiences have allowed me to manage my workload in a fast pace environment and develop leadership skills. These skills include mentoring, charge nurse role, performance improvement evaluator and leadership committee representative, while at the same time maintaining certifications in ACLS, BLS and PALS.

What made you choose a career in nursing?
The selection of Nursing as a career has always been a desire of mine since I was a teenage. My curiosity in wanting to know what caused certain disorders/diseases and what needed to be done to correct the problem, drove me to complete my education in Nursing. This same desire within me encouraged me to continue advancing my education in Nursing.
What motivates you at the start of each day?
Every day I am motivated by the fact that I have been given an opportunity to make an impact on the lives of others. My hope is that each patient will leave with a greater understanding of their health and desire to improve and/or continue a healthy lifestyle holistically.

I attribute my success to my Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ and the unconditional support of my husband and family members that are too numerous to name. The ongoing encouragement and motivation from all, allowed my hearts desire for nursing to come in such excellences.
