  • Nupur Ghoshal, MD, PhD, is an Assistant Professor of Neurology with Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis, Missouri. She is also a clinical investigator in the Alzheimer's Disease Research Center (ADRC) and a physician at the Memory Diagnostic Clinic. Her research has involved certain proteins in the body that accommodate Alzheimer’s Disease and the formation of dementia. Her work in the specialty of Aging won her the Alene and Meyer Kopolow Award for Direct Patient Care and Aging Research in 2009, as well as the Richard and Mildred Poletsky Award, for Dementia Care and Research in 2008. In 2003, Dr. Ghoshal received her medical degree from Northwestern University Medical School. She then went on to complete a neurology residency at Washington University (where she was elected Chief Resident) and Barnes Jewish Hospital, followed by a dementia fellowship at Washington University. Working with the Memory Diagnostic Center Team at the University, Dr. Ghoshal and her team help diagnose dementia/memory loss through various testing. The diagnosis and treatment of memory disorders has become Dr. Ghoshal’s passion over her 9 years in practice.
